This family adventure begins high up in the mysterious and magnificent Hajar Mountains. After arriving in Muscat, a private transfer ride ends at the first of three luxurious resorts on this itinerary, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar. The nearby village of Nizwa is the old capital of Oman, where traditional Arabian architecture provides the backdrop to bustling souks. Next up, head deep into the desert for some dune bashing in a 4x4 and to spend two nights under the stars, counting constellations in the clear sky. The drive back to Muscat to the beautiful beachfront Al Bustan Palace, A Ritz-Carlton Hotel takes in traditional villages and wild wadis in the ever changing natural landscape. Two final nights provide time to relax on the sand and swim or take a boat trip across the warm Gulf of Oman, where you might spot dolphins and whales cresting in the blue water.
