Nestled between rainforest and paddy fields, the camp’s sumptuously appointed tented retreats and the two bedroom lodge each have a salt water pool and some of these have direct access to the sacred Wos River, source of inspiration for the Balinese. No trees were felled during the creation of Capella Ubud, Bali, ensuring a back-to-nature experience as authentic as can be.
Gastronomists are at the right address with four delightful dining options: Mads Lange; the camp’s dining room, Api Jiwa, the highly interactive and bespoke Asian BBQ that seats just 16 guests as well as The Camp Fire and The Mortar and Pestle Bar. Lively Ubud is a centre of artisan crafts and traditional Balinese dance performances. The nearby Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a nature reserve with a Hindu temple complex.
Bali and Lombok have a hot, tropical climate year round, with May to September being the most popular months to visit when there is less humidity. Bintan Island is best visited during the dry season, March to November.
