The location more-or-less in Corfu’s heart means nowhere is too far to drive and Benitses’ beachfront shops are just down the hill. But with its numerous wellness treats, pretty pool areas (the infinity pool centrepiece is the largest on Corfu) and scrumptious foodie options there’s plenty here to entertain. The well-being choices may fool you into thinking this is a retreat for the body, but it’s very much the place to just unwind all year round. For every yogi there’s a mojito-drinker, for every massage given there’s an indulgent dessert crafted at A Lounge, and for every gym goer there’s a beach-lingerer who hasn’t moved for an hour.

A Carrier curation

A sand dune safari isn’t the first thing to spring to mind when thinking of things to do here, but ask Angsana and they’ll gush about it. As the only Greek island to boast them, hop in a jeep or ride horseback to explore the heaped sands surrounding Korission Lake and all of the biodiversity that resides there. Hugged by Issos Beach and the Cedar Forest, the “Sahara of Corfu” has some surprising residents, including a flamboyance of flamingos. Later, a Corfiot farm is the location for lunch surrounded by the produce growing in the perivoli.
