Newcomers to our portfolio

Riviera Maya, Mexico / Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection

In a nutshell: Ethereal in name and in nature, Etéreo’s bridges to the beach weaving between native mangroves and locally crafted artefacts succeed in transporting guests to another plain.

Why come here: The invite to switch off is easily accepted here as guests settle into private cabanas and stargazing platforms that hide within the untamed tapestry of greenery.

Not to be missed: The in-house botanist team are the brains behind eco-activities, from cenote swims to non-intrusive turtle encounters. We’re also fans of the otherworldly teachings imparted by the resident shaman.

Mozambique / Banyan Tree Ilha Caldeira

In a nutshell: Resting on its own private island imitating a volcanic caldera, Banyan Tree’s first South African flagship is set to be the season’s favourite when it makes its July 2023 debut.

Why come here: With a vibe of elevated relaxation that rivals the ritzy-glitzy Maldives, spa aficionados and post-safari goers alike look forward to a bit of down time on this circle of sand.

Not to be missed: Residing in Africa’s largest Marine Reserve, sea-faring forays are a given here, from whale watching and ship wreck diving to discovering eye-opening research in the Marine Conservation Centre.

Tanzania / Thanda Private Island

In a nutshell: Starting life as a place to bring the owners’ family together, this private island has since decided to open up its silverly sands for other travelling-tribes to call their own.

Why come here: With a cosy main villa, two Tanzanian Bandas and an on-island crew to handle the logistics, cares are cast to the wind, leaving time to simply reconnect with loved ones.

Not to be missed: While togetherness is encouraged, Thanda knows the importance of some alone time, so just say the word and a copper bathtub shall appear ready for an alfresco soak on the sand.

Hot property

Spain / Six Senses Ibiza - Residences

In a nutshell: Ibiza’s (arguably) most exclusive address has just outdone itself, adding four new three-seven bedroom townhouses and two larger-than-life mansions to its already illustrious accommodation list.

Why come here: With roomy pool-donned outdoor terraces and a Finca aesthetic on overload, these new residences take full advantage of the boho-Med lifestyle with a more family oriented approach.

Not to be missed: A private catamaran takes a solar-powered sail over Ibiza’s glassy waves. Head to Cala Negra bay for snorkelling and cliff jumping or out towards Tagomago private island before a sun-soaked lunch onboard.

Couples castaway

Maldives / Milaidhoo

In a nutshell: Here, guests are affectionately known as ‘story-tellers’; it’s a place where every experience is designed around them, so that they can live out their individual island stories on a paradisiacal hideaway that measures just 300 by 180 metres.

Why come here: Expect an air of indulgent carefree island living, inviting solitude seeking couples to tune out the outside world and flex their toes in the sand.

Not to be missed: Its no secret Milaidhoo loves to celebrate romance. The unadulterated ‘Sleep Under the Stars’ just may be one of our favourite Maldivian sandbank experiences. It’s really just as close as you can get to paradise.
